Equestrian Club Pegasos is once again the host of one of the most important events in the national equestrian calendar. On Saturday, June 6, 2026, the Pegasos Equestrian and Recreational Center will host the 1st round of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup and the Sarajevo City Championship in dressage.
The competition is organized under the authority of the Equestrian Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and brings together riders and horses from across the country.
The event is scheduled to start in the morning hours, with the detailed timetable to be announced soon.
Dressage is often perceived as calm and slow. In reality, it is one of the most demanding forms of riding. What you see in the arena, just a few minutes of movement, is the result of months and years of work. Every movement has meaning. Every line, circle, and transition is precisely defined. Horse and rider must move as one, without visible force and without error.
The greatest challenge in dressage is not speed, but control. The rider must guide a powerful animal through minimal, almost invisible aids, maintaining rhythm, direction, and impulsion at all times. At the same time, the horse must remain relaxed, focused, and willing to cooperate.
That is why dressage is not just a technical discipline. It is a relationship.
At the competition, you will see riders of different levels, from those taking their first steps in the sport to experienced competitors. Each performance tells its own story. Some will be aiming for their first qualifying score, some refining precision, and others demonstrating years of consistent work. For the audience, it is an opportunity to see just how complex and demanding this sport truly is.
